CoS Melbourne has/had two missions, Melbourne and Camberwell. Camberwell is the one that bit the dust. Rather typically, when you turn over the rock, it looks like there isn't much to the Melbourne "mission", either. Historically, missions seem to have come and gone an awful lot -- the theory is that CoS makes good money selling the "mission starter packages" and may not care too much if they last, but I don't have a lot of data on that -- but in the 90's it seems like a lot have been reduced from storefronts and full hours to out of the way operations open a few hours a week or only "by appointment", with many out and out dying. The 1993 edition of "What is Scientology?" lists 72 missions in the US, but CoS' website listing (at www.smi.org) currently only lists 56, with many of the remainder known to have moved to worse locations (or out of office/retail space entirely) and/or reduced their hours.
