Friday, midday until 1:40pm I did a solo picket of the Canberra cultie centre.
My classy sign read "$cientology wants your money ...all of it" with the
reverse reading "L. Ron Hubbard was CONVICTED of FRAUD"
I handed out 92 Space Alien $cam fliers, the majority to people who came to me
and asked for one. The clams (varied up to 5) did not speak to me, not even
once, and did not acknoledge my existence nor agree to a flyer swap. Well, it
was easy to get multiple copies of their new flyer anyways, just tell a person
with one "Thats a $cientology flyer you have there..." "Really?" she replied.
"Yep, swap ya for this one, it is more accurate" "Sure, here, take it" she
says.
Their flyer, a folded double sided A4, begins with "VIOLENCE DOES
NOT START WITH THE THROWING OF BOMBS. IT BEGINS WITH WORDS"...includes
"There is no place in a free world for any anti-cult or anti-religious
movement that dictates its own view of what a religion is all about and
which seems to base its reports on the complaints of disgruntled ex
members, and reports of ill-informed family members or friends." then ends
with Hubbard's circular "Personal Integrity" after some statements about
courts declaring our favourite cult a scam, I mean religion.
Their flyer also includes the true, but scientology damaging statement
"Protection of religious liberty requires that each group be examined on it's
own merits..." hehe.
I had my camera, but there were no opportunities really, since the clams
purposely didn't leaflet near me, or usually not even within shouting distance.
Since an anti government-indecision rally sponsored by Amnesty Int. was
going on 50 odd metres from the org, with 3 TV channels covering it, I mingled
with that crowd for a while. Some of the TV stations filmed my single waving
sign, but it was a little off purpose, so I returned to picketing outside the
org, even though I gave away at least 30 flyers in that crowd in 10
minutes..and they *all* came to me for one.
The OSA secret service was, as usual, roaming round with her little
camera, but I'm sure she has albums filled by now, and wasn't overly
enthusiastic. Not one word was spoken to me, by any clams, its amusing,
really. There wasn't much else to report at the picket, twas a simple
event.
After my circuitous route home, I find 2 female deluded staff culties on public
property, right outside, waiting for me!! They confirmed they knew where I
lived by telling me. Maybe this was some kinda intimidation tactic? I mean,
they didn't need to let me know..In fact, I was sure they had known for weeks
already, and were just pretending not to. They did not follow me, they were
there waiting for me. All I can say is, it's about bloody time OSA, geez, it's
been months, and you only now "isolate the individual source(s)" well that is
very downstat OSA-un-babe!! No pay for you this week.
I was never hiding from them anyway, I simply didn't tell em.
TO OSA: My rottweiler guarddog changes the batteries in my electronic
surveilance cameras, and can dial the cops on short notice.
